R.I.P Daul Kim

On November 19, Supermodel and Chanel muse, Daul Kim, chose to leave this world at only 20-years-old. You may remember that only months ago, Daul Kim modelled for Christopher Kane's Topshop line. She had a blog (www.iliketoforkmyself.blogspot.com, now readers only) and articles have noted that she wrote some pretty sad things in her posts.

I badly want these...

Photobucket Photobucket
a) Bloom Clutch in Fuschia and Grey - also available in Champagne, Black and Pink (betts)

PhotobucketPhotobucket
b) Luxe in Multi
c) Taipan in Blue - also available in Black
(all from betts)

I badly need a second job because I'm not getting paid much from the one I have. So tomorrow after work, it looks like I'm going to be walking around asking owners whether they're hiring or not.

After work I went to see Mum and my sister at the school where they both work. I helped out a bit then realised that Twitter is free on my phone? Atleast for now.. So that distracted me and I ended up going home and hung out with my cat, Millie. Yep, interesting life I have. :|

Thankyou Molly (from hiitsmolly.blogspot.com)!

one. Thanks to the current 39°C (102.2° F) heatwave here in SA, I am getting my first tan in about 4 years! On the first day of Spring, it was 30°C so my guess is that Summer is going to be in the low 50's like last year. At first I loved it. But now I have to walk to and from work everyday, I'm starting to dislike it more and more.
two. I only own a few pieces of bright coloured clothing. My wardrobe is full of pastels, florals, denim and lots of black and white. I prefer to keep things simple and down to earth.
three. Sites like Lamebook and FML can make my day.
four. I'm getting more interested in makeup now. I think it's because the closest clothes shop is 45 minutes away, but to buy makeup I only have to walk down to the Chemist here. Easy peasy.

five. Paris Hilton's outfits give me nightmares. For example, here's some fug.
six. I've only been clubbing once. I was too drunk to remember it. Classy.
seven. I've never owned an Ipod before. I know, I'm an embarrassment to you all! I couldn't be bothered getting one because I only heard stories about them breaking all the time. Although now I'm getting one from Mum and my sister for Christmas.(:

I'm passing this on to Leather, Lace and Studs, BCOSOFU, Wreckless World and Oniomania

C'est le moment ou jamais

(it's now or never)
Photobucket
Is that meant to be au or ou? I translated it online because I don't know French, and c'est le moment au jamais translated to "it's now or never" and what it says on the bag - c'est le moment au jamais translated to "It's time to ever". Or do they both mean the same thing?! Confusing. My sister, Sarah, bought this bag on our last shopping trip together (: It's from Sportsgirl and was on sale. I think it was either $19.95 or $29.95. I love it. Hopefully she'll let me steal it someday! It's her 20th birthday this Sunday. I was looking at humorous cards in the newsagency today and felt like an idiot because I was cracking up over greeting cards.

I know it's been out for more than a year, but I am loving Loreal's Telescopic Mascara in Black (in the original gold tube). At first I hated it, but then I used an eyelash curler beforehand and voilĂ ! now I love it. Although a lot of people have complained about it clumping. It didn't with me. It made my lashes look thicker and longer and I found that it lasts long too. I got this for my birthday though, so I'm not sure how much it costs. I've seen it range from $19-$28. I'll edit this and put in a proof picture a little later. Probably not tonight, actually. I'm so busy.

Today was my second day at work. I got offered more hours (: Tonight I'm going out to dinner with my family and we're meeting up with my Aunty, Uncle and Grandma. I'm so tired, I just want to sleep!

'Cause we were the special two.

I know, I know. I suck at going on a hiatus and not spending! Two new skirts, both from Supre. Floral- $25. Hot Pink- $22. And to think I was going to buy basically the exact same hot pink skirt from Bardot for 80-something $$$! (Back when I was a rich bitch. Sigh, those were the days.) I found that black top at the back of my wardrobe. I think it was my sister's but she gave it to me. Anyway, I forgot I had it and I love it. The short sleeves are ruffled (: I used to hate Supre because everything looked so tacky. But now they can have some nice pieces there. The quality of the photos above suck.

I've loved the idea of wearing pink and purple together, but everyone seems to want to kick me in the head when I admit it.  I think I look a little more 1980's instead of the Anita Pallenberg look I was thinking of. My camera and I aren't the greatest of friends and it doesn't want to show the correct colours properly. Ah Keith's expression cracks me up.

I went to my cousin's 19th last Saturday. Ohmygod, I have never had so much fun in my life. I hadn't seen my cousin in more than 10 years, so I didn't know what to expect. I went alone and I didn't know anyone else, so I was so nervous and about to cancel. I didn't know what to buy her, so because we were like twins when we were little, I had a feeling we'd still like the same things. I bought her a pretty necklace, Covergirl Wetslicks lipgloss & Rimmel 60 Second nail polish in one of the purples. Before I gave her present to her, she blurted out how she lost her lipgloss and was mad because she had just bought it. And guess what? She said it was a Covergirl Wetslick lipgloss. Hahaha, then she opened up the present and saw I gave her one! She's hilarious. Her friends are so nice too. She had a bottle of champagne to herself and then when we were walking back to the car, she said "Your hair's so nice. What champagne do you use?" instead of "shampoo". Haha.Oh & I didn't get asked for ID! Only outside the club. But not in the 3 other places we went to!

Okay that's all from me (: This may have been the shortest hiatus ever.
I hope everyone's having a great week x
